INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE

The great Indian super league is expected to start  in the coming November 2014 on wards. 8 teams from different part of the country will fight for Indian Super League trophy. People's expectation is much more on this league because big names are associated with team owners and players. Foreign media also take interest on Indian super league because of this big names. Following Cities are selected to host their teams; Bangalore, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. IMG-Reliance is the sponsor so the financial hurdles may get solved for this big tournament for football in India. The reserve price is fixed for each city is 18 crore. But in the case of Kolkata it is INR 12 crore per year for 10 years. And each team is bound to spnet INR 2 crore for the developing football, especially infrastructure.

Big names like Sourav Ganguly, India Harshavardhan Neotia, India Sanjiv Goenka, India Utsav Parekh, Spain Atletico Madrid, Sun Group Venugopal Dhoot, India Dattaraj Salgaocar India, Shrinivas Dempo, John Abraham, India Shillong Lajong,  Sachin Tendulkar, India Prasad V Potluri, Ranbir Kapoor, India Bimal Parekh, Salman Khan, India Wadhawan Group,  DEN Networks are the owners of eight teams.

Players Combination rules for ISL
  • Each team will contain a squad of 22 players, 
  • Each Team consisting of 1 marquee foreign player
  • Each Team can include 7 foreign players, 
  • Each Team can include 14 domestic Indian players and 4 local Indian players
